Planning a trip to Udvada

Guys, I am totally FoodieJunkies and a Sea Lover too. I am too much stressed with running business and venture for our dream product “Impala Mail and Messaging Suite“. So, was planning to find a place for 3-7 days which is not near my home town Kolkata ( India ) – like Digha, Mandarmoni, Shankarpur etc. Actually not “nearby” in a single word.

Was watching a movie named Little Zizou , and in the movie found a place named Udvada. Yes yes, I accept that the movie was too good. But, that place name and the scenery haunted me. So, started to researching on that place, as I never heard the name of that town / village before. Found a wonderful history of the village as follow

Quiet sequestered coastal spot Udvada, famous holy place of Parsis in India, is accredited with the most celebrated Iranshah Atash Behram, the sanctified fire temple of Parsis. Udvada, located in between Daman and Valsad in Gujarat state, is a seaboard village and a long-familiar inheritance site and pilgrim center. It is conceived that the fire has been glowing in the Iranshah Atash Behram for more than 1,250 years.

Udvada, preponderantly inhabited by Parsis, is the Mecca of Parsis. The series of events, which altered this ordinary village of browsing places for camels or Udvada into a most sacred place of Prasis commenced in the 7th century when Arab encroachers inhibited the destinations.

Udvada, the most sanctified spot of Parsis, is far-famed for the clapper lacrimation tasty Parsi cuisine. Udvada is distinct from other Gujarat cities since it has a significant number of old Parsi buildings and many are still unmutilated. One of the peculiarities of this cool hamlet is that all lanes begin or ends from the main road. Locals recall landmarks rather the names of the roads to identify the houses of its occupants.

and after more searches, found following video which I think will make you interested if you are Foodjunkie like me.

So – after watching the video, I am sure that I am going to Udvada – even if not any other one is going with me , even if needed , without my wife :-D .

Will update you after the trip. May be sooner………..

Nature’s Pharmacy

Nature left us great clues as to what foods help what part of our body!

image001

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye… and YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

image002

A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart has four chambers and is red. All o f the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

image003
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

image004
A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums.  Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

image005

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

image006

Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and many more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

image007

Avocadoes, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female – they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this?  It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

image008
Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

image009

Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

image010

Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries.

image011

Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

image012
Onions look like the body’s cells. Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

Recession- another perspective!

recession

This Story is about a man who once upon a time was selling Hotdogs by the roadside. He was illiterate, so he never read newspapers. He was hard of hearing, so he never listened to the radio. His eyes were weak, so he never watched television. But he is hard worker and enthusiastically, he sold lots of hotdogs. He was smart enough to offer some attractive schemes to
increase his s

ales. His sales and profit went up. He ordered more a more raw material and buns and use to sale more. He recruited few more supporting staff to serve more customers. He started offering home deliveries. Eventually he got himself a bigger and better stove.
As his business was growing, the son, who had recently graduated from College, joined his father.
Then something strange happened. The son asked, “Dad, aren’t you aware of the great recession that is coming our way?” The father replied, “No, but tell me about it.” The son said, “The international situation is terrible. The domestic situation is even worse. We should be prepared for the coming bad times.”
The man thought that since his son had been to college, read the papers, listened to the radio and watched TV. He ought to know and his a

dvice should not be taken lightly. So the next day onwards, the father cut down the his raw material order and buns, took down the colorful signboard, removed all the special schemes he was offering to the customers and was no longer as enthusiastic. Very soon, fewer and fewer people bothered to stop at his hotdog stand. And his sales started coming down rapidly, same is the profit.
The father said to his son, “Son, you were right”. “We are in the middle of a recession and crisis. I am glad you warned me ahead of time.

Moral?

It’s  our MINDS! We actually FUEL this recession much

more than we think. Hard work will pay off always .The recession is bestcleft for itself , focus on our day to day work with enthusiasm, spend carefully and save more!
